Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.67% in Jan, 5.2% annually
MOSCOW, Feb 5 (PRIME) -- Russia’s inflation slowed to 0.67% in January from 0.83% in December 2020, while annual inflation sped up to 5.2% from 4.9%, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Friday.
Food inflation amounted to 1.01% in January after 1.53% in December. In annual terms, food prices grew by 7.03%.
Without fruit and vegetables, food prices rose 0.52% on the month in January and by 5.87% on the year. Fruit and vegetable prices grew 4.77% on the month and 16.33% on the year.
Non-food prices rose 0.53% on the month and 5.1% on the year.
